Founder & CEO
Brenda Williams is a builder of people, purpose, and possibility. As the Founder and CEO of BW Empowerment LLC, she brings over 25 years in equity, empowerment, and transformation. A Certified Diversity Executive and widely respected strategist, Brenda’s work centers on helping individuals and organizations lead with clarity, compassion, and courage.
Before launching BW Empowerment, Brenda spent nearly three decades at New York Public Radio, where she rose through the ranks to become Chief Diversity Officer. There, she championed inclusive culture shifts, developed leadership pathways, and reimagined how organizations support and elevate talent at every level. Her impact earned her recognition as a trusted advisor and change agent across the industry.
Today, through BW Empowerment LLC, Brenda works with executives, rising leaders, and mission-driven teams to cultivate intentional growth. Her coaching and development programs are rooted in real-world experience and guided by a simple belief: when people feel seen and supported, they lead better.
Her signature initiative, Shine Bright, empowers young voices and emerging talent with the tools and encouragement to step into their brilliance. It’s just one example of how Brenda continues to make space for others to grow and thrive.
Brenda also lends her time and expertise to several nonprofit boards, including the Boys and Girls Club of Union County, the Cynthia F. Blaizes Foundation, and the L-Train Memorial Foundation. Whether in boardrooms or classrooms, she leads with integrity, heart, and an unwavering belief in what’s possible.
